Why is the capacity of your hard disk reduced without installing programs?

hard-disk computer

Recently, I haven't installed or downloaded any programs.

But the hard disk capacity keeps decreasing.

Where do I keep using my hard disk?

Until the past few years, there have been malicious codes that reduce disk space by generating meaningless files, but I know that these viruses have almost disappeared recently.
So it doesn't seem very likely to be a virus.
I think the Windows system files are increasing.

When you use the Internet, you save a lot of temporary files.
You can save it when you have a lot of space, such as picture files.
So you're going to keep using the capacity.
I can erase it on purpose, but I recommend you not to erase it because it will slow down the next time you open the Internet.
The part that's used a lot is the trash can.
In most cases, the size of the trash can is set to large.
Basically, the hard disk is big, so when you install the window, the window holds it big on its own.
You can also reduce this or empty the trash can.
If it's too short, it'll pop up to empty the trash can on its own, so you can leave it until then.

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
If you go in here, there will be a lot of files.
This is the folder that Windows receives to update the required system files.
So it's taking up more and more disk space.
