1G is 1024M.
The reason why the numbers are so tight that they don't fall apart is because gigabytes and megabytes are computers.
Because the computer calculates it in binary, it's 2^10 (10 multipliers of 2) and then it's 1024.
in other words
1G = 2^10M = 1024M
