Is there a reason why Kakao Bank sends a text message when it is authenticated?

Kakao Bank sends me a text message when I authenticate.

I've never seen a case where if I sign up for a member at another place before, I'll get a text message and let you enter it, but send a text message.

Is there a reason why Kakao Bank does this?

I think it's like that when I use an iPhone.
I receive text messages on my Android phone and type them in.
Maybe it's because iOS has restricted it.
