Is there a reason to double the amount of 4G and 8G?

If you look at Ramdal, it only doubles by 4G and 8G. Is there a reason to double it without 5G and 6G?

I think I increased it from 2G to 4G before

You can use 4G + 2G for 6G, but when you plug in the memory, you usually need to plug in the same two for better performance
