SSD heating issues

I'm using my laptop, DELL Studio 1558.

It's famous for its heat.

But if you plug in an SSD, the heat gets worse, so there are a lot of fans.

However, if you plug in the HDD, the fan does not work very well.

Does anyone know the reason?
