Which would be better, a dehumidifier or a desiccant?

If you look at it as a dehumidifier, it's good
If I'm going to use it for the summer, the dehumidifier is a bit vague
When I turn on the dehumidifier, I have to close the door and turn it on, but it's pretty hot
