What program language should I learn?

I'd like to learn programs as a hobby.

I asked my acquaintance who majored in computer before, and he told me to learn from C, so I tried c, but I quit because I got tired of it quickly.

I'm thinking of doing it again for fun, what language would be good to learn as a fun or hobby?
