I think it's because the contact is poor on the USB terminal that is connecting the mouse.
If you have poor contact, you may lose your mouse connection while writing.

See where you connect the mouse.
Check pc usb terminal if pc and usb hub if usb hub.

Is your mouse a Bluetooth wireless mouse?
Then it could be because the battery is dead.
