There is an error to change the font on the phone, why is that?

If I try to change the font on my phone, there's an error like below.

Unsupported font. Contact your font provider. Do you want to delete this font?

This Why is that?

The person who created the font should support it on the phone.
There are too many phones, so there are some errors.
If you tell the font maker that it's not allowed on any phone, I'll revise it and distribute it again.
