I had the same problem.
I looked everywhere and there was a conflict with the Avast vaccine program.
If you turn off the Avast vaccine program and try it, it will work.
But turning off the vaccine program is kind of weird.
So when the message pops up, press the OK button and move on.
Ignoring the message doesn't interfere with the game.
