Is it potato or oil that makes you gain weight when you eat French fries?

french-fries diet

French fries gain a lot of weight. Is it because potatoes have a lot of calories?

Or is it because it's fried in oil?

If oil is the problem, I was wondering if it's okay to turn it in the air fryer

Potatoes can't be helped. LOL

Isn't it because you have a lot of carbs?

Potatoes are good carbohydrates, so it's okay, but fries are processed food. It's oily and of course not good for you.

It's both, but compared to French fries, I think it's better to use an air fryer
