Would it be better to rent in New York?

I'll be in New York alone for about a week.

I'm thinking about renting or using public transportation.

How about renting?

I don't recommend renting. It's not easy to drive because of the heavy traffic and narrow roads.
Parking is expensive, too.
If possible, I recommend public transportation.
