Is there a way to prevent knit lint?

When I buy a knitwear and wash it after wearing it, it forms too much lint.

So that it's hard to wear it all the time.

How do you guys wash knitwear?

I left it to dry, but it doesn't come off when it's dry, so now I just use wool shampoo and wash it by hand
