Is there a big difference in difficulty between JLPT N3 and N2?

I heard you don't have to prepare for JLPT N4 or N5.

I'm thinking about whether to use N3 or N2, but

I went to the bookstore and read a book.

I don't know Japanese, so I don't know how much difference the difficulty is.

If you don't think N4 or N5 is necessary,

I think there's no difference in the difficulty between N3 and N2.

To what extent is the difficulty different?

N2 and N3 have a big difference. N4 and N5 are not on the same level.

I don't know if the difficulty adjustment was unsuccessful or intended, but I made it easy to get up to N3.
N2 and N1 are very difficult.
