usb is just talking about the port standard that connects
The driver depends on what you insert here.
For example, if you insert flash memory, you need a flash memory driver.
Mouse driver is required when mouse is inserted.

As you said, the driver you need depends on which one you insert.
Most of them are held automatically by Windows.
If it doesn't work, you can use the driver installation disc if you look inside the hardware box
