Is aerobic exercise good for dieting? Would anaerobic exercise be good?

At the gym, my trainer told me to do aerobic exercise for 30 minutes and do other exercises if it's for diet purposes.

Aerobic exercise consumes energy during exercise.
Anaerobic exercise increases basic metabolism and increases energy consumption during rest time if you build muscles by exercising.
So, for dieting, it's good to do anaerobic exercise for a short time and rest well.
To lose weight through aerobic exercise, it is difficult to exercise for a long time because the exercise time is long and exhausting.
