Diamonds are produced when high pressure is given at high temperatures above 3,500 degrees Celsius.
So, under natural conditions, it's formed underground at less than 130 km.
Diamonds produced underground by surface activity have become rare metals because they are occasionally raised.

Diamonds are rare, but they are not as valuable as they are now.
The reason why it is so expensive is because there is only one company in the world that actually supplies diamonds, so it is monopolizing it, so it is forced to raise the price.
However, there is a high possibility that diamond prices will collapse because we don't know how long we can sustain the price.
