Why don't you actually use an ion engine?

Ion engines consume less fuel, but they are very weak.
The magnitude of the force is the level of lifting a piece of paper LOL
It's hard to escape Earth's gravity.
Nevertheless, the reason why it can be used in rockets is because it is weightless in space.
Because in zero gravity, if you keep applying even a weak force, the speed gets faster and faster.
