Oil paper doesn't absorb water well but only oil well, why is that?

I tried to make you drink water with oil paper, but surprisingly, it doesn't absorb water

The oil paper does not absorb water well, but only absorbs oil well. Why is that?

Water is a polar substance.
Oil is a nonpolar substance.
In the case of non-polar materials, they stick well to materials made of non-polar materials.
In the case of oil paper, only oil is absorbed well because the material of the paper is a non-polar substance.
