If you look at the solution components that pierce the toilet, such as Trafeng and Tturup, they contain surfactants, chlorine bleach, PH regulators, anti-corrosion agents, and antifoaming agents.
Looking at this, other things such as surfactants and chlorine bleach seem to be for cleaning, and I think PH regulators play a role in penetrating it.
