Do you send cash in your luggage when you travel abroad?

You'll have a lot of cash when you travel abroad.

Do you only take some money to spend and send the rest in baggage?

Or is it better to take all the cash by yourself?

Since it's in cash, I wanted to make sure my luggage would be safer than putting it all in my wallet
