Is there any smartwatch that I can make a call without a smartphone?

I don't know about smartwatches because I only looked for early models, but I was wondering if they came out now.

In the past, I used to get calls, text messages, or Kakao Talk only when I connected a smartphone or Bluetooth Wi-Fi.

Is there any smartwatches that I can talk to without a smartphone?

Wouldn't it be difficult unless you apply with a carrier because you have to insert a USIM in the smartwatch?
