Is Galaxy S2 worth using as a simple used phone?

What I usually do is to call and receive text messages on Kakao Talk messages.

I looked for a cheap used phone and found a Galaxy S2.

Is Galaxy S2 also worth using as a simple used phone?

It's very slow to write these days.

If you're worried about the price range, wouldn't it be better to buy a new one?
I think Galaxy Grand Max would be cheap.
Or if it's Kakaotalk, there's one that came out as a folder phone.
