This is because the SCR system is installed to reduce nitrogen oxides.
The Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system purifies small amounts of ammonia water or AdBlue (vehicle element water) by converting nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O).
If there is a tank fitted to store AdBlue (vehicle element water) and there is not enough element water, it must be replenished.
The reason for the addition of this new system is that the domestic diesel emission law has been changed from Euro 5 to Euro 6 since 2015.
